Brew Donkey Hops on the Weed Wagon
New ‘Ganja Mule’ expands tour offerings to include Medical Cannabis Producers

OTTAWA, ONTARIO – April 1, 2017 – Brew Donkey, Ottawa’s first and only brewery tour service, is first out of the gate once again. With new federal regulations to legalize recreational cannabis on the horizon, Brew Donkey will soon launch ‘Ganja Mule’, the first weed tour of its kind in Canada.

"It seemed like the natural direction for the Company. At one time in Ottawa we would have never imagined being able to tour over 25 producers of beer. Now we get to further expand our offerings, and tap into the cannabis tourism industry" says owner/operator, Brad Campeau.

All trips on the ‘Ganja Mule’ will take place on their newly designed "Cannibus" - a retrofitted, multi-passenger transport vehicle that includes custom features to enhance the tour, including augmented reality, driver air-filtration, and fresh local food.

During each trip, participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to grow cannabis. Brew Donkey will kickoff their service under the current legal medical system with exclusive guided tours of the biggest player in the space - Tweed - operating out of the old Hershey Chocolate Factory in Smiths Falls, Ontario.

"Smiths Falls used to have four hundred thousand people per year touring the old chocolate factory. This facility has always been known for its informative and interactive tours so we think we should continue the tradition with a little help from another great local business," said Bruce Linton, the Co-founder of Tweed.
The tours will depart from Brew Donkey’s main office on Wellington St at noon every weekend, and will return promptly at 4:20 p.m.
