Since opening our Craft Beer delivery and Brewery tour service in Ottawa we had high hopes that both would become valuable services that would help the community in Ottawa explore beers made by locals.  In almost 3 years of operation there have been many changes to the AGCO's laws for the good of craft yet the core requirements and limitations relating to delivery services are still quite prohibitive. In the last 2 years our focus has shifted greatly to offering dynamic and educational tours both in Ottawa and Kitchener/Waterloo.  During these years we have continued to offer the service out of commitment to the industry and as a public service to the lovers of local beer in Ottawa.  We have recently come to realise that running an affordable and profitable delivery service focusing on craft producers is no longer something that we can offer and will be closing the delivery service by the end of Oct 2016.  This choice is being made so that we can now focus all of our attention on the the tour service, the business of bringing people to local producers so they can explore the products first hand. The recently announced news that the AGCO is now delivering through Canada Post further supports our decision to make the switch to solely operating as a tour company.

The closure of the delivery service by the end of the year will offer plenty of time for individuals with outstanding gift cards to redeem them for delivery if that is their desire.  All gift cards though are still usable for any of our tour offerings.

The closure of the delivery service also means that we will be handing our "Growler Exchange Program" over to a local charitable organisation. Plans are being made with Operation Come Home's Bottle Works to facilitate the program. The "Growler Exchange Program" was started in the spring of 2014 and facilitated brewery customers to return bottles from most breweries in Ottawa to a collection of 10 local breweries for $1 less than its original value.  Our hope is that the service will live on with a charitable twist.
