Job Title: Brewery Tour Guide

Position and Payment: Occasional to part-time employment - $15 to $19 per hour
We are Brew Donkey, a craft beer focused company offering brewery bus tours and walking tours that highlight the local craft beer scene: brewing, breweries, tastings and experiences. We are currently looking for a dynamic, passionate craft beer lover to be an on-bus Brewery Tour Guide
The Brewery Tour Guide is responsible for a variety of duties, including: tour set-up, managing the manifest and tour check-in, acquiring signed waivers from patrons, and providing an entertaining and educational description of the local brewery scene and brewing practices. The Brewery Tour Guide is also responsible for distributing food to tour attendants and ensuring a safe and responsible tour. The Brewery Tour Guide will be expected to be knowledgeable about the basic production of beer but first and foremost be a dynamic performer and competent orator.
Tour Set-up – banners, posters, raffle items, PA.
Managing the manifest and tour check-in of tour patrons, signing of waivers, distribution of tasting notes sheets and pens if required.
Provide 25-30 minutes' worth of education and entertainment on topics such as local brewing history, brewing practice, tasting techniques.
Ensure that all guests are aware that there is water available free of charge at the front of the bus.
Manage an on-bus quiz for craft beer related prizes.
Ensure that each tour attendant is present after each stop (roll call).
Manage time at each stop and communicate changes to destinations.
Clean up the bus after the tour is finished.
Other duties as required.
Must be available evenings and weekends (Primarily Saturdays and Sundays).
Smart Serve Certification.
Must be comfortable with public speaking.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are a must.
Strong attention to detail and an interest in the craft beer industry
Able to work independently.
Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English (French is an asset)
Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 50 pounds.
Employee will be working on a moving vehicle, thus should be stable on their feet.
Employee will be visiting industrial brewing facilities with dust, noise, and smells of fermentation.
